Wedding at La Bastide De Gordes
La Bastide de Gordes overlooks the historical village of Gordes, located in the county of Vaucluse (South-East of France) in the Luberon, one of the most beautiful regions of France.
Its history, its architectural and heritage richness, its breathtaking panoramas, landscapes and protected nature are as many assets to discover this genuine Provençal jewel. In this beautiful village, a history of nobility and art is reflected in the buildings—the Medieval Castle, the Saint-Firmin church, and in the village galleries.
Some places such as the Village des Bories and the Abbey of Notre-Dame-de-Sénanque bear witness to the cultural diversity of Gordes. This heritage and this exceptional geographical location make it the emblem of the Provençal perched village.
This antique stately home still retains all its charm of the past. With its large terraces that invite you to admire the landscapes of the Luberon, it is ideal for an elegant and refined French wedding. The interior of the bastide does not lack charm either; a luxurious place but at the same time warm with an authentic choice of furniture and period decorations. An eternal journey back in time lies in these details. Discover them with our beautiful inspiration session!
All the details of this beautiful summer day were captured by Jeremie HKB, a photographer with a passion for Provence, where he has always found his passion and inspiration in the light and nature. The beautiful flowers and color palette, carefully picked by Emily Alarcon, were inspired by the magic of Provence. The light shades of purple and powder pink combined with a creamy white complemented the natural elements and the greenery of the venue. Special thanks to the blog Adoré for posting this wedding inspiration session on their blog.
The bride and her bridesmaids toasted to the bachelorette party by the pool under the sun of Provence, crowned with flowers and dressed in their pretty bikinis. Then, they shared girly moments at tea time in the small garden. The refined Villeroy & Boch tableware, with sparkling pink flowers and soft pastel shades, was beautifully displayed with small floral arrangements. An atmosphere of laughter and happiness filled the garden. The bride warmly thanked her bridesmaids for their presence and support with a small gift from Dior and a mini box of Ladurée macaroons.
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in the Duc de Soubise suite, a charming and luxurious suite filled with Provençal light that brings you back to the 18th century with its large patio that offers a breathtaking view of Gordes and its landscapes.
While the gorgeous bride was getting ready to meet her future husband, the groom enjoyed rare and unique appetizers and cocktails in a warm and relaxing setting at the bar of La Bastide.
During the romantic ceremony, the bride and groom shared their vows with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Luberon that allowed the guests to show their love in a unique setting while enjoying the sunset. The bride’s arrival was very elegant. The slender bride was dressed by Belotti Couture in a simple and elegant lace sheath dress. At the end of the aisle, the groom was waiting for her with passion in front of the floral arch shaped like half-moons.
The dinner took place on the largest and longest terrace of La Bastide. On one side, the panoramic view of the village and on the other side the swimming pool with the facades and the dry-stone arches between the hundred-year-old olive trees and the majestic cypresses where the bride and groom could enjoy their photo session before the arrival of the guests. The decoration of the rectangular tables combined with the "Montaigne" chairs was carefully chosen to match the charm of the garden and the authenticity of the place.
On the round terrace of the bastide, the bride and groom shared an intimate and romantic moment around the delicious wedding cake with macaroons in an idyllic setting overlooking the village of Gordes.
